Martha Campbell Merck

Martha Merck, age 93, of Decatur died Sunday, June 29, 2008.  She was born in Mansfield, GA and is predeceased in death by her parents, four sisters, one brother; and her daughter Bobbie Marie Binns.  She is survived by her two sons, Mr. Charles R. Merck of Las Vegas, NV and his wife Renee, and Mr. Ralph E. Merck of Avondale Estates and his wife, Carol W. Merck.  She is also survived by four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.  She was an active member of Decatur Heights Baptist Church and resided at Phillips Towers.  She retired after 25 years of service at R. H. Macy Company as an audit clerk.  She was beloved by everyone she met and will now rest with her Lord forever.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 1st in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Alan D. Smith officiating.  Interment will be at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, Mansfield, GA.  Those desiring may make contributions to Decatur Heights Baptist Church, 735 Sycamore Dr., Decatur, GA  30030. The family will receive friends today, Monday, June 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
