Martha Carol Eichelberger

December 15, 1954 — April 14, 2024

Martha Carol Eichelberger, 69, of Decatur, GA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 15th, in her home in Decatur, GA. She was born in Chattanooga, TN, to parents Edward Eichelberger and Martha Douthitt Eichelberger.


Martha was a graduate of University of Tennessee Memphis and studied laboratory science and medical technology. She lived most of her life in Houston, TX and Athens, GA, working for over 30 years as a medical technologist at MD Anderson in Houston and St. Mary's Hospital in Athens. After retirement she moved to Decatur, GA. She was a long-time member of the Campus View church of Christ in Athens and later joined her sister and mother at the Northlake church of Christ in Tucker, GA.


Carol was a humble, faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She was known for her intellect, dry sense of humor, soulful singing voice, and her love of dogs. She passionately supported the Northlake church of Christ, among other organizations.


She is survived by her sister Anne Eichelberger Page of Decatur, GA and her brother Edward Eichelberger (Mary) of Boerne, Texas and her nephew and four nieces, Andrew (Jinnie) Page of Atlanta, GA; Hannah Page of Decatur, GA, Katie (Lane) Mandel of Dallas, TX, Julie (Preston) Woolfolk of San Antonio, TX, Hillary Eichelberger (Raghav Gandotra) of Palo Alto, CA..


The family especially appreciates the support and kindness of her small group friends at Northlake Church and the staff at Regency House in Decatur.


She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A private memorial service will be held in Decatur, GA with her family.
