Martha Frances Lowery Reinhardt

Martha Frances Lowery Reinhardt passed away on June 4th, 2017 at the age of 75. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 2nd, 1942. Her parents were William Hamilton Lowery and Dorothy Elizabeth Brown Lowery. Martha graduated from Druid Hills High School in 1960. She received a B.A. in Education from Emory University in 1964 and a Master of Education from Georgia State University in 1978. She was an elementary school teacher in DeKalb and Fulton Counties, teaching special education and ESOL.

She was a long-time member of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church and a recent member of Dunwoody United Methodist Church. She loved traveling, was an avid walker, enjoyed playing tennis, and was past President of the Neely Farm Garden Club.

She is survived by her husband, Jon Reinhardt, her sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and William Phillips, their son Rusty Phillips, M.D., his husband, Patrick Mabray, M.D. Ph.D., and her cousin Betsy Brown. In addition, she is survived by her brother-in-law James Reinhardt, M.D., his children Cece, William, and John Reinhardt, and Cece’s wife Brenda Daugherty.

A graveside service will be held at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA on Thursday, June 8th at 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service in the Little Chapel at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, 1660 N. Decatur Rd, Atlanta, GA at 3:00 p.m. with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Unadilla United Methodist Church, 325 School Avenue, Unadilla, Georgia 31091.
