Martha Gable Clinkscales

Mrs. Martha Gable Ramsey Clinkscales, 74, of Charlotte, NC, died on July 7, 2010, in the loving care of her family. She was born in Atlanta, on August 22, 1935, the daughter of the late Olon and Josephine Ramsey. Mimi loved well and was well loved by her family and friends. She loved all living creatures intensely, especially her many cats and dogs. Mimi loved the garden and the beach. Martha is survived by her devoted brother, Tom Ramsey; her three daughters, Martha Jo Clinkscales (David Forquer) of Atlanta, Rose Lynne Clinkscales Bowman (Tim) of Winston-Salem, and Sarah Glenn Clinkscales (Dustin King) of Asheville and eight grandchildren; Ramsey Bowman Murray (Pat), Mary Kate Bowman, Sam Artopoeus, A. Turner Bowman, Eugenie Hale, Elijah Clinkscales-King, Rush Forquer and Ian Clinkscales-King. She is predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Herbert Glenn Clinkscales. A celebration of her life will occur at 11am, Saturday, July 10, at Decatur Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Elizabeth Fairleigh officiating. Lunch will follow in the Keith Parlor. Memorial contributions may be made to Thornwell Children's Home, Habitat for Humanity, and PAWS Animal Shelter, Atlanta. A. S. Turner & Sons
