Martha Jean Pelot

Martha Jean Pelot, a native of Danville, GA, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 20, 2007. She was born May 4, 1923 to Reuben F. and Elizabeth Ward Bell. A celebration of life and memorial service will be held Friday, June 1, 2005 at 4:00 PM in Kellett Chapel of Peachtree Presbyterian Church with Dr. Steve Huntley officiating. Jean was a devoted mother and wife. She was the last child to be born among 14 brothers and sisters and the last to depart. Preceded in death by her husband, Claude Nisbet Pelot, a W WII Navy Veteran, she is survived by her son Raven Michael Pelot, a graduate of Georgia College, and 40 nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. Jean leaves this loving family with many fond memories of her elegant manner and appearance, sense of humor, infectious laughter, excellent meals and her genuine love and devotion for all members of her family and her friends.
