Martha Leaota Walls

Martha Leaota Walls, 77, of Decatur, Ga, passed away February 2, 2014 in Atlanta, Ga. Martha was born in Cocoa, Florida to Lester Lee Johnson and Martha D Milton on March 19, 1936. She attended Clarkston High School and is credited with organizing and being their first Majorette. Over the years she worked for Sears Roebuck, Food Lion and started Lee-J Florist. She enjoyed reading, walks and helping those in need whenever possible. Martha is preceded in death by her father, Lester L Johnson, mother, Martha D Milton and husband, Jerry G Walls. Martha is survived by her son, William L Walls of Crestview, FL., son, Jefferey G. Walls of Tucker, Ga., brother, L.C. Johnson of Jacksonville, Fl., and sister, Connie Johnson of Decatur, Ga. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all her friends near and far. She loved the Lord and she loved her friendships. A memorial service will be Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Larry Burgess officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
