Martha Lou Cox Kiser

Martha Lou Cox Kiser, 73, of Decatur, Georgia died peacefully September 15, 2008. She was born Martha Lou Cox in Oakland, Warren County, Kentucky on Apri1 20, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Rodney Dewey Cox and Lula Dossey Cox. She married Maurice W. Kiser in December 1957. She will be remembered by friends and family alike. She enjoyed cooking and keeping her flowers and yard beautiful. Martha is survived by her husband, Maurice Kiser of Decatur; and two sons, Mark Kiser and his wife Selena of Tallahassee, Florida, and Manley Kiser of Athens, Georgia. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jo Preston of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She had close friendships with the Medlock Moms group and the Belk group. Martha was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Decatur and the Gleaners Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mountain View Personal Care Home of Decatur or the Developmental Disabilities Ministries Inc. of Norcross. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Decatur on Wednesday September 17 at 11 a.m. Dr. Bill Neal and Dr. Bob Williamson will preside over the services. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons
