Martha Mcclearen Mcdaniel

Martha M. McDaniel, devoted wife, loving mother, passed away on February 4, 2009. Born October 30, 1919 in Washington. GA. Married Horace E. McDaniel and moved to Clarkston, GA where they shared a wonderful life for 53 years. Mrs. McDaniel was employed as a secretary for Frigidaire Sales/Division of General Motors. She was an active member of The Clarkston United Methodist Church and most recently of North Decatur United Methodist Church. Her home was always open to family and friends where Sunday dinners were a familiar feast. She was blessed with a full life and touched the hearts of all who knew her. "A mother's love can never be replaced." She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace E. McDaniel and three brothers, Bill McClearen, James McClearen and Robert McClearen, Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her daughter, Shirley McDaniel of Tucker, GA; and sister, Mary McClearen of Washington, GA. Other survivors include sisters-in-law, Elinor Wilson of Decatur. GA, Dorothy Rentz of Tallahassee, Fla; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 8th at 2:00 pm in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, with interment following at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Odyssey Hospice Health Care, 2302 Parklake Dr., Suite 150, Atlanta, GA 30345. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7th, from 4:00-6:00 pm at A. S. Turner & Sons.
