Martha Pace, 92, of Lawrenceville, Georgia went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2015. She was predeceased by parents Russell H. Pace, Sr. and Minnie R. Pace, her beloved twin Mary, brother and sister-in-law Henry and Mary Jean Pace, sister and brother-in-law Virginia and Loy Flor, brother Roy L. Pace, sister Elizabeth Pace, along with twin brothers who died at birth.
She is survived by sister-in-law Ann Pace and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and faithful Christian. Martha was retired from the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company where she worked for 48 years. She was a member of Hamilton Mill Presbyterian Church, a former member of Midway Presbyterian Church and a charter member of Glen Haven Presbyterian Church in Decatur, Georgia. She was one of the first women Elders in Atlanta Presbytery and served faithfully in many ministries. She graduated from Avondale High School and Georgia State University. Martha and her twin Mary were members of the Friendship Force and enjoyed travels to many different countries. She was a member of the Women's Chamber of Commerce, the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Guild and Georgia Twins & International Twins Association. Her many volunteer and charity efforts and her church work exemplified her love for God and love for people. Martha spent her final years at The Bridge At Lawrenceville, where she enjoyed social activities, country rides, walking daily and sharing her sweet spirit with residents and staff.
Visitation on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, with Funeral Service following at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of A.S. Turner, Rev. Jeff Davis officiating. Interment at Redan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hamilton Mill Presbyterian Church.
