Martha Clyde Reynolds Wynn, aged 98, of Decatur, died Tuesday, March 22,2005, at Emory University's Budd Terrace Nursing Home in Atlanta. Born in Hawkinsville, Georgia, March 21, 1907, to the late Claude Hampton and Clyde DuPree Reynolds, she was a teacher for much of her life. She married Floyd Ellison Wynn in 1933. She attended Decatur First United Methodist Church, and was a long-time member of the Paty Sunday School Class. Mrs. Wynn was a 20-year Volunteer with the Red Cross at the Emory University Hospital Gift Shop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd E. Wynn, and her brother Alvin DuPree Reynolds. She is survived by her two sisters, Pauline Garr of Jackson, and Neva Peacock of Stockbridge; two sons, Dr. Jack T. Wynn of Gainesville, and James R. Wynn of Atlanta; grandchildren, Mary Catherine Wynn Chamness, Dr. Thomas A. Wynn, Eric R. Wynn, David W. Wynn and Margaret E. Wynn, and two great-grandsons, Allen and Michael Chamness. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home of Decatur at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26th. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emory University Hospital or Decatur First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
