Mary Alice Burns Grim

Mary Alice Burns Grim was born November 24, 1921 to Annie Sue and Lloyd Burns died December 26, 2009. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia where she received a Bachelors degree in Education and also was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She taught for 29 years in the City of Atlanta public school system where she instilled the value of an education in her students. After her retirement she took an active role in the family real estate business. Mary Alice had a passion for entertaining family and friends for the Holidays in her home and in her 2nd home on Sea Island. She was a life long member and supporter of Tucker First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 45 years Charles E. Grim. She is survived by her brother, Sanford Burns, Jr. of Tucker Ga; nephew, Chip Burns of Tucker Ga; great nieces and nephew, Bonnie Burns, Amanda Burns and Dean Burns, all of Tucker, Ga. In lieu of flowers a donation to Hospice of Atlanta is appreciated. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 28th at 11 AM in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Sharon Watkins officiating. Interment, Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the hour of service on Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
