Mary Alice Cummins

On Dec. 26, 2015, Mary Alice McDowell Cummins, 82, passed into the presence of the Lord. She is survived by her 3 children; Alice, William and Charles; 5 grandchildren; 5
great-grandchildren; and brother. Mary Alice was born on July 24, 1933 in Augusta, GA. She graduated from Decatur Girls High in 1950. She was married to William Cummins for 15 years and lived in Livermore, CA. She moved back to Decatur, GA after they divorced in 1970 and worked for the Georgia Department of Revenue. She has lived at Wesley Woods for the past 11 years. She was an active member of Decatur First United Methodist Church for many years and has been a devoted attendee of Christian services at Wesley Woods. A memorial service will be held Monday, Jan. 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riley Room at Wesley Woods Towers, 1925 Clifton Rd., Atlanta, GA 30329. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wesley Woods Foundation in her name.
