Mary Ann Beyer

Mary Ann Beyer, 92 of Lawrenceville, GA. Passed away March 1, 2016 at Northlake Gardens Assisted Living in Tucker. Born in Birmingham AL., she was the second of seven children of Annie Mae Collier Poore and James Allison Poore. It was in Birminghan that she met and married Robert O. Beyer in 1946.

In 1953 they moved to Atlanta settling in Gresham Park. Mary Ann and her family were active members in the Gresham Park Recreation Association. She and Bob loved to dance and participated in square dancing with neighbors and friends and could "jitter bug" like the pros.

She worked for Dr. Evelyn A. Knight in her pediatric practice in Gresham Park and was an active member of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in S. E. Atlanta until moving to Lawrenceville where she was a member of St. Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert O. Beyer and daughter Jo Ann Beyer and is survived by daughters Janet Beyer and Jeanne Beyer of Lilburn, GA, sisters Annice Gibbs and Evelyn Lawler of Oneonta, AL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
