Mary Ann Ritchie

Mary Ann Ritchie passed away peacefully on October 29, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Jewel Lee Ritchie, her parents, William and Irene Ellington, and her sibling, Alice Bell Daniel.

She was born in North Carolina but made her home in Decatur, Georgia. She attended Grimsley Senior High School in Greensboro, NC.

She was a dedicated member of Avondale Estates First Baptist Church. She was a trained and accomplished singer and was a soloist in the church choir.

Mary Ann is survived by her children: Joan Boyd (Ralph) of SW Ranches, FL and Ruth, MS, Mark Ritchie (Denise) of Atlanta. GA, and James Ritchie of Decatur, GA; two grandsons, David Sandel (Monica) of Ruth, MS and Patrick Barton (Britton) of Tampa, FL; seven great-grandchildren: Renee Sandel, Ayla Sandel, Mia Sandel, David Sandel, Jr., Ehren Barton, James Barton and Brooks Barton. She will always be loved and cherished and she made the world a better place.

A grave-side service will be held on Tuesday, November 2nd at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA at 1:00 p.m.
