Mary Birney Foley

Mrs. Mary Birney Foley of Atlanta died Thursday, December 23, 2004.  Mrs. Foley graduated from Hallahan High School and Chestnut Hill College.  She was a teacher and mother of seven children.  She and her late husband, Theodore (Ted) Foley raised seven children in eight countries in Latin America and Africa while he was working for the State Department and in private industry.  She was an expert tailor and knitter.  She is survived by her daughters, Bethanne Jenks of Decatur, GA, Dierdre Foley of Atlanta, GA & Siobhan Beasley of Concord, NC; sons, Tico Foley of Houston TX, Sean Foley of Phoenix, AZ, Paddy Foley of Charlotte, NC & Kerry Foley of Snellville, GA; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, December 31, 2004, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Richard Lopez officiating.  Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
