Mary Carolyn Wohar

Mary Carolyn (Adams) Wohar, 88, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 19, 2021. She was born at home in Marietta, GA, to proud parents Vada Wiggins Adams and Irving Adams on July 26, 1932.
Carolyn started a career after college, but found her true calling as a wife and mother. What her family will miss about her most of all is her kindness, sense of humor and constant source of love and support. Carolyn loved to spend time with family, especially her 6 grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and a loyal member of her church community at Holy Trinity Episcopal in Decatur, GA. She was happiest being outdoors and taking long walks.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and her adoring husband of 56 years, Sam Leo Wohar.
Mrs. Wohar leaves behind to cherish her memory, her 3 daughters: Susan Cardwell of Fairhope, AL; Kellie Gravel of Atlanta, GA; and Janice Wingo of Dahlonega, GA; her grandchildren: Stuart Cardwell, Taylor Cardwell, Wesley Cardwell, Gabrielle Gravel, Jenna Wingo, and Eli Wingo; a great grandchild, Leonora Cardwell; her sister Evelyn Scott, and brother Bill Adams.
A graveside service will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA, on Friday, January 22, 2021, at 12 noon.
