Mary Catherine Brooks

Mary Catherine Brooks, born February 2, 1921, graduate of Decatur City Schools, graduate of Georgia Evening College (Georgia State University), J.D. Atlanta Law School, retired adjudicator, Regional Veterans Association, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, after an extended illness. Ms. Brooks served in Army Women's Corp in World War II, was a member of Briarlake Baptist Church, a member of the American Legion, Georgia Bar Association, Member of NARFE (National Association Retired Federal Employees). Ms. Brooks is survived by two sisters, Betty Brooks Baker, Decatur and Peggy Wilkerson, Monroe, NC. She is also survived by her nephew, Kerry Baker; nieces, Carol Brown, Cheryl Evans and Linda Brooks, several grandnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James R. Brooks and Bernard T. Brooks, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Chapel in The Pines in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with interment to follow.
