Mary Derrick Gill

Mrs. Mary Monica Gill, 92, of Atlanta went to Eternal Rest with Her Lord and his Blessed Mother on Monday, August 6, 2007.  Mrs. Gill was devoted to her family. She was an avid gardener and proud of her colorful flower beds and roses. She also enjoyed reading, fishing and sewing. She is survived by daughters, Suzanne Hollison of Sandy Springs, Mary Gill-Ludwig of Avondale Estates, Jane (Thom) Burt of Atlanta; sons, Patrick (Diane) Gill of Oxford, George (Sheila) Gill of Statham; sisters, Rita Butler of Boyton Beach, FL, Jean (Frank) Aceto of Phoenix, AZ; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of United Hospice for their warm and loving care. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 9th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Father Neal Herlihy officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Hospice Foundation, 1626 Jeurgens Court, Norcross, GA   30093 or St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 624 W. Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030 The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
