Mary Ellen Lawson Graham

Mary Ellen (Lawson) Graham, age 89, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2013 in Decatur, Georgia. Ms. Graham was adopted by the late Edward and Hazel Lawson of Ladoga, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Graham, and her youngest son Keith T. Graham. Surviving is her older son, Ed Graham, of Tallahassee, FL and many nieces and nephews in the Chicago, IL and Boston, MA areas. She moved to Atlanta in 1990 and was a farm housewife and mother in Indiana prior to her move to Georgia. She fought Parkinson's disease for over 25 years. Prior to her death, she was a resident of Manor Care Rehabilitation Center in Decatur, GA, where she received excellent care during the later years of her life. Her final requested wish was as follows: "Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all."
