Mary G. Calhoun

Mrs. Mary G. Calhoun, age 85, former resident of Coventry Place in Decatur, died Monday, January 23, 2006.  She was a member of Columbia Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by her husband, James L. Calhoun; and two granddaughters, Jennifer Calhoun and Meghan Calhoun.  She is survived by her daughter, Sally Currin and her husband Mike of Lilburn, GA; son, Jim Calhoun and his wife Susan of Conyers, GA; sister, Mrs. Sarah Mehrtens of Charleston, SC; brother, Lewis Godbold of Charleston, SC; and five grandchildren, Matthew Calhoun, Davis Calhoun, Hannah Calhoun, Melanie Currin, and Laura Currin.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, at 11:00 am in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.  Dr. Tom Hagood will officiate.  Interment will be at Decatur Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions to the Columbia Presbyterian Church, 711 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30030.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at A. S. Turner & Sons.
