Mary Jo Adams, 81, years young, passed away December 26, 2011 at her residence at Kingsbridge Retirement home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, J.C. Adams. Mary served as the church secretary at Valley Brook Baptist Church for over 25 years. She retired in order to spend more time with her grandchildren. Mary was also a longtime member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She also taught ceramics and enjoyed arranging flowers and decorations for various church events. She loved all things sewing, crocheting, quilting, and making doll clothes for her granddaughters' dolls. She always maintained a positive attitude and will be remembered for her beautiful smile. Her life was enriched by her love of family and friends and she enjoyed staying in touch via phone, cards, and even email for a while. She thanked God everyday for her many blessings. Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Alan Malone, her daughter, Mary Jean Blackwell Bradley; her son, Carlton Alan Adams; and her grandchildren, Katy and Caroline Malone and Taylor and Jessica Adams. A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11 am in the Pavilion at Kingsbridge Retirement Center, 3055 Briarcliff Rd., N.E., Atlanta. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Rehoboth Presbyterian Church for a memorium. A. S. Turner & Sons
