Mary Jo Bugg

Jo Bugg, 92 of Decatur died peacefully on November 8, 2014. She was predeceased by her son Randy and is dearly loved and survived by her husband Ralph and her children Barbara, Larry and Jennifer. She is also survived by six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Jo was born Mary Jo Smith in Camp Hill, Alabama in 1922. She managed payroll for government employees at the munitions plant in Childersburg, Alabama during World War II while her husband was serving his country in the Pacific. Jo also worked for Emory Law School, Egleston Children's Hospital and The Presbyterian Center. She was known for leading and fostering church family camping programs. A celebration of her life will be held at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at a time to be determined. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Egleston Children's Hospital Garden. A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
