Mary Jo Mccoun

Mary Jo McCoun, known affectionately by her family as "Jody," reunited with her beloved husband and the Lord on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Born in Micco, West Virginia, October 13, 1923, Jody lived a marvelous and blessed life. Moving to Florida in the 1930s, she met the love of her life, Tom. After relocating to Decatur in 1968, they were active in their church and the community when not watching their children on the ball field. Jody was an active and involved member of Clairmont Presbyterian Church. She was a fifty year member of the Columbia Friendship Circle. She was also was a long standing member of the P.E.O Sisterhood. She is survived by four children, Tommy (Jennie), Chris (Ann), Anne, and Jim (Sally), nine wonderful grandchildren and four beautiful great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clairmont Presbyterian Church's Azalea Village Ministries or the P.E.O. Foundation. A service celebrating Jody's life will be held at Clairmont Presbyterian Church, Decatur, Georgia on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 1 o'clock. Family will receive friends at the church at noon. A. S.
