Mary Lib Harling Kaywood

Mrs. Mary Lib Harling Kaywood of Atlanta died Thursday, July 12, 2007. She was born April 18, 1917 in Memphis, TN, and lived in the Atlanta area for 80 years. She was the daughter of Rev. Richard Calvin Huston and Mary Elizabeth Scott. Helen Scott Huston Lawrence was her sister. She was married to Edwin Lee Harling, Jr. in 1936 and they were married for 45 years. They had two daughters, Mary Lee Kelley of Harrison, AR, and Peggy and husband Mike Chandler of Jackson, GA. She had six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren in AR, MO, KS, CO, and GA. Ed and Mary Lib joined the First Baptist Church of Decatur in 1943, and were active deacons and Sunday School teachers. Ed was the organist for several years. Mary Lib was active in the Dunstan Sunday School Class. In 1983, she married Roy Kaywood and was married for 10 years. He had three children and three grandchildren, all in Illinois. Mary Lib was preceded in death by her parents, RC and Mary Scott Huston; sister, Helen Scott Huston Lawrence; son-in-law, Glenn Ray Kelley; and grandson, Cecil Wayne Mounce. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 16th at the First Baptist Church of Decatur. Rev. Bill Neal will officiate. Interment Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Decatur, 308 Clairemont Ave., Decatur, GA 30030. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
