Mary Lucy Berry

Mrs. Lucy Berry of Atlanta died Wednesday, August 4, 2004 after a long illness. She was born on September 3, 1924.  She is survived by her husband, David Berry; daughters, Bebe Joyner and her husband Charlie, Susan Nesmith and her husband James, all of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, David Joyner and his wife Rebecca of Gloucester, MA, Billy Joyner, Michael Nesmith, and Marysa Nesmith, all of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Mabel McCaughy of Port Charlotte, FL, Mildred Lee of Cumberland, MD, Florence Torrence of Rocky Mount, VA, Rebecca Jackson of Mebane, NC, Veta Woody of Roanoke, VA, and Gilly Cogswell of Erie, PA.   She was predeceased by her parents, William Henry and Mabel Spottswood Davis; a sister, Elizabeth Nelms; and two brothers, George A. Davis and William S. Davis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 8th at Embry Hills United Methodist Church.  Rev. Mark Westmoreland will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Embry Hills United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
