Mary Mcconnell Holley

One life on God's earth lived well. Beth Holley was an amazing wife, faithful and true to her sweetheart and husband Robert Holley all the days and years of their life together. She was a mother extraordinaire to her children, Mary Lynn, Alice, Rob and Jane who will carry with them all their lives the amazing lessons she taught them, lessons taught even in the final weeks of her life. She was a devoted daughter to Charlie and LollyeBelle. She was a fun and loyal friend to her buddies who played along with her throughout her days. They never missed a Christmas concert or a chance to sing at the old folks home (even into her 90's) or share a coupon over a bowl of Wendy's chili or play bridge, all delighting in their love for each other and their abiding friend- ships. Beth Holley loved to sing and people loved to hear her. She sang gospel hymns on the radio with her duet partner Roy Turner; she sang in weddings and funerals so much so that in her final months when she was ill, she received cards from people whose weddings she sang in 60 years ago. She sang to her husband, Robert, his favorite hymn 'Great is Thy Faithfulness' at the very moment he died, no doubt escorting him to be with The Lord. Beth had a stellar career in Atlanta real estate selling the homes her husband built and then for decades more teaching those around her the true meaning of the word "service". She and Robert started Holley Realty Company in 1948 and she sold real estate until her retirement in 1995. Mostly, Beth Holley was devoted to Christ, her Savior, and she never waivered in her trust in The Lord. She will be missed by so many of us here on earth but she is healthy and perfect in heaven and we know we will be with her again. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 23rd at Clairmont Hills Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clairmont Hills Baptist Church. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service at the church. A.S. Turner and Sons
