Mary Ann McCullough, 90, passed away on March 21, 2025, at home in Decatur, Georgia.
She was born November 18, 1934 in Norfolk, VA, to Hoyt McCullough and Theophilia McCullough. She spent her early life in Lafayette, Louisiana, before moving with her parents to Decatur, Georgia.
Mary Ann graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Atlanta, in 1948. She started her career as a Civil Servant and went on to work for 30 years at the CDC as a travel specialist. After "retirement" she worked at Emory University as an admin assistant, then Saturn of Decatur as the Courtesy Driver. She volunteered at Dekalb Medical Center for 45 years, and also volunteered at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Center. She was a devoted Catholic, and attended mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Mary Ann loved line dancing, gardening, cooking, taking long walks in her hilly neighborhood, Lebanese food like her mother cooked, and visiting with her wide circle of close friends, colleagues and "adopted" nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann is survived by close friends Joe and Laura Rossidivito as well as dear friends Les and Elizabeth, Lynn and Sabrina, Louane and Bob, Fr. John, Mark and Mark, Brenda and Bob, and Kelli Ashy-Gautreaux.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by Hoyt McCullough - father, Theophilia Ashy McCullough - mother, Selma Rabiz Ashy - grandmother, Kaplan O'Blaine Ashy-grandfather, and friends Dolores, Bill,
Family and friends will gather Thursday April 3, 2025 beginning at 9:30 AM followed by a rosary at 10:15 AM. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 AM. All services will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 2855 Briarcliff Rd NE, Atlanta GA 30329. A reception will follow mass in the fellowship hall.
Interment will be held at 2:00 PM at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt Vernon HWY Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
