Mary Mulkey Miller

Mary Mulkey Miller, age 81, passed away on December 15, 2020 following complications of Alzheimer’s disease. Mary was born May 29, 1939 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and moved to California as a toddler. She grew up in Sutter, California and moved to Georgia in 1956, where she lived for the rest of her life. Mary loved music and had a beautiful voice; she sang almost daily and really enjoyed entertaining her family and friends with singing. Mary also had strong family values. The youngest of 12 children, she maintained close connections to her siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews, even though they were living primarily on the west coast and she was living in metro Atlanta.
Mary is survived by her second husband, Jerome Miller; her three children, Melanie Mulkey Long (Bill), David Wayne Mulkey, and Kathy Mulkey Wijsmuller (Peer); four grandchildren, Melissa Gallagher (Andy), Emily Lowery (Andrew), Damon Wijsmuller, and Kylie Wijsmuller; and four great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Natalie Gallagher and AJ and Eric Lowery. Mary is also survived by her first husband of 40 years, Wayne H. Mulkey.
