Mary Pace, 87, of Lithonia, Georgia went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2011. She was predeceased by parents Russell H. Pace, Sr. and Minnie R. Pace, brothers Henry Pace and Roy L. Pace and little sister Elizabeth, along with twin brothers who died at birth. She is survived by her twin sister Martha, sister Virginia Flor of Lakeside, California, sisters-in-law Ann Pace and Mary Jean Pace, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and faithful Christian. Mary was retired from the Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church USA where she worked for 47 years. She was a member of Midway Presbyterian Church and a charter member of Glen Haven Presbyterian Church in Decatur, Georgia. She was the first woman elected to the Office of Elder in the Atlanta Presbytery. She attended Avondale High School and Georgia State University. Mary was a member of the Friendship Force and enjoyed travels to many different countries. She was a member of the Women's Chamber of Commerce, the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Guild, Flying Doctors of America, and Georgia Twins & International Twins Association. Her many volunteer and charity efforts and her church work exemplified her love for God and love for people.
