Maryanne Rowan

Mary Anne Vaughn Rowan, 81, of Decatur, Georgia passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday April 4th, 2023. Mary Anne, was born on June 10th, 1941 to Curtis and Evelyn Vaughn. Mary Anne, is survived by her husband, Tim Rowan, former husband Bill Webb and their children daughter Kim Green (Paul) of Indianapolis, IN and son Curtis Webb of Norcross, GA.; grandchildren Alicia Webb, Jessica Webb, Camille Green and great grandchild, Jared DeJarnette. She was predeceased by her parents and sibling, Johnny Vaughn.

Mary Anne was raised in the Kirkwood Neighborhood located in Atlanta, Ga and graduated from Murphy High in 1959. She raised her children and worked part time for the Georgia State Senate, and retired from the Center for Disease Control in 2007. Mary Anne married Tim Rowan in 2000. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, and crafting. Her most favorite place on earth was St. George Island FL, where she spent her later years with family and friends and beloved dogs, Ian and Dixie.

The family would like to thank CARE THE WRIGHT WAY and SACRED JOURNEY HOSPICE for the end of life care they provided for Mary Anne.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, April 22 at 11:00 at A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org
