Maurice Steven Goldstein, 68, of Stone Mountain, passed away peacefully at his home, with family by his side on September 24, 2020.
Maurice was born August 29, 1952, in Atlanta, to the late Max Charles Goldstein and Rita Slesinger Goldstein. Maurice was a 1971 graduate of Druid Hills High School. He became an Eagle Scout in 1968. Maurice married Margaret in 1976 and they moved to Stone Mountain in 1978. He worked in the automotive industry over 30 years, displaying his love for cars and people. Maurice truly lived his life to the fullest, and always made sure to put his family first. Through his passion for Volkswagens and visiting with friends, he loved to travel. He was always characterized as being caring, as he would do anything he could for anyone he cared about.
Maurice is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret, his son Matthew, daughter Mandy, sisters Joan (Steve) and Sandy (Wes); step-mother, Eileen Goldstein and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Maurice touched are invited to visit with the family at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home in Decatur from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2020.
