Mrs. Maxine Westmoreland, 84, of Decatur, GA, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010. She retired from Rich’s Department Store after many years of service and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur. Mrs. Westmoreland is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, J.C. Westmoreland. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Shuster and her husband David of Gainesville, GA, Pat Eggert and her husband David of Jackson, MI, Deborah Westmoreland of Norcross, GA; son, John Westmoreland and his wife Tonya of Kennesaw, GA; siblings, Quanna Witt of Birmingham, AL, Wanda Cantrell, Ernestine Elliff, both of Tupelo, MS, J. T. Farris, Jack Aaron Farris, both of Mantachie, MS, Avanell Sewell of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren, Steven and his wife Heather Shuster of Buford, GA, Susan and her husband Chris Hamilton of Lawrenceville, GA, David and his wife Janet Eggert of Lansing, MI, Jonathan Eggert of Pittsburgh, PA, Joanna Eggert of Jackson, MI, Michael Eggert of Chicago, IL, Rachel Westmoreland, Jonathan Westmoreland, Sean Westmoreland, all of Kennesaw, GA; great grandchildren, Ryan Shuster, Matthew Shuster, both of Buford, GA, Elisa Hamilton of Lawrenceville, GA and Emma Eggert of Lansing, MI. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 13, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. (E.D.T.) in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA with Dr. Peter Ray Jones officiating with visitation one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. (CDT) Saturday, August 14th at Andrews Chapel Cemetery in Mooreville, MS with visitation one hour prior to the service.
