Maybelle Levens

Maybelle Simpson Levens, born on August 13, 1910 in Cherokee County, GA, daughter of Andrew and Angie Simpson, passed away on June 13, 2005 at the age of ninety four. She was preceded in death by her daughter, June Campbell; her husband, Troy P. Levens; two brothers, Andrew and Hubert Simpson; and sister, Estelle Turner. She was a retired bookkeeper with 30 years of service with the A & P Company. She was a kind, loving and a devoted mother, and loving, gentle grandmother to twelve grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons and two daughters-in-law, Bob C. Levens and Louise of Conyers and Basil (Buddy) Levens and Jan of Atlanta; two nieces, Marie Riley and Betty Southern; numerous other relatives, many friends; and her loving caregiver, Casel McLaughlin. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15th, Pastor Manny Collazo officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. A. S. Turner & Sons.
