Meg Buchanan

Meg Derrico Buchanan, 40 years old, of Decatur, Georgia, passed away suddenly on September 11, 2015. Meg, the mother of daughter Bailey, son Charlie and wife of Brian, has joined her mother Margaret Derrico and brother Scott in Heaven. Meg is sorely missed by her large, loving family.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at North Decatur Presbyterian Church at 611 Medlock Road, Decatur, GA 30033. David Lewicki of North Decatur Presbyterian Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15 from 1:00 p.m. TO 4:00 p.m. at A.S. Turner & Sons, 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, Georgia 30030, Telephone # 404-292-1551.
Meg was born in Larchmont, NY on December 20, 1974. She graduated from Mamaroneck High School and continued on at Brookdale Community College in New Jersey.
Meg was married to Brian on September 18, 1999; they were married sixteen years.
Meg worked as a Corporate Director of Material Quality Control for West Rock for sixteen years. She enjoyed swimming, camping and loved visiting her family at the Jersey Shore. Meg was a beacon of light to her friends and community. Her love knew no bounds.
Meg is survived by her husband Brian, her lovely children Bailey and Charlie, father Joe (Marthe), twin sister Kate (Chris), and sister Andie (Brooks) and brothers, Joe (Missy), Chris (Sandie), Donny (Christie), Paul (Julie), and Timmy, and mother and father-in-law Charles and Ann Buchanan and sister-in-law Betsy (John) and twenty six nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Lupus Foundation of America or to the charity that means most to you.
