Melinda Suzanne Davis

Melinda Suzanne Davis, "Mindy", passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, March 9th, 2017. She was born May 30th, 1962, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Charles Carlton Davis and Julia Ann Eason Davis.

She is survived by her brother, Charles "Chuck" Carlton Davis, Jr.; sister-in-law, Suzanne Mathews Davis; nephew, Charles Carlton Davis, III; nieces, Clare Marie Davis, Bridget Ann Davis and Christine Randolph Davis; and partner, Drew Allmond.

Mindy moved to Atlanta, GA, and attended Kingsley Elementary and Peachtree High School. She went to the University of Georgia and studied Marketing. After college, Mindy began her career in the lighting industry with American Lighting, then with Progressive Lighting for over 25 years. She was active in the community with Junior League and a member of the High Museum of Arts. She was an avid UGA Bulldog fan. Mindy was a bright light of love in the world. Her life was filled with selfless acts. She never sought after attention only to comfort the people around her.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017, at 1:30p.m., with a reception to follow, at Dunwoody United Methodist Church 1548 Mt. Vernon Road Dunwoody, GA, 30338, (770) 394-0675.
