Mettie Roberson Ferguson

Mrs. Mettie R. Ferguson, 79, of Decatur died Sunday, November 18, 2007.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Garvin Roberson, father, Lovell Roberson, husband, Ralph Ferguson, sisters, Mildred Rausch, Lucille Shultz, brothers, Lovell Roberson, Jr., and Jim Roberson. Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her daughter, Vickie Knight of Tybee Island; sons, Ken Knight and wife Pat of Tucker, Dan Ferguson and wife Lynn of Roswell; grandson, Ryan Knight; granddaughter, Ann Knight; brothers, Bill Roberson, Dick Roberson, Charles Roberson, Ray Roberson, and Kenny Roberson; and many nieces and nephews. A native of Bronson, IA, Mrs. Ferguson was a retired executive secretary at Hewlett Packard, where she worked for 10 years.  She enjoyed gardening and traveling. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 21st at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Father Edward Branch officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday with a Prayer Service at 7:30 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
