Michael Benedict

Mr. Michael D. Benedict of Stone Mountain died Wednesday, August 4, 2004.  He was a member of Stone Mountain United Methodist Church. Mr. Benedict was a loving husband and father, and an avid Merle Haggard fan.  He was preceded in death by his son, Troy Alan Benedict. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Keen Benedict; daughter, Natalie Michelle Benedict, both of Stone Mountain, GA; brother, Terrence Alan Benedict of Sherman Oaks, CA; sister, Lisa Staples of Cincinnati, OH; father, Arnold Benedict of Kettering, OH; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.  Dr. Bill McCoy and Dr. Joy Rikard Brown will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stone Mountain United Methodist Church.  Interment will follow on Monday, August 9th at Hardens Chapel United Methodist Church, Lyons, GA.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
