Mr. Michael G. Billias, of Decatur, GA, died Thursday, August 25, 2005 at the age of 86. He was born in Charleston, S.C. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years, Angela (KiKi) Misoyianis Billias and son, George Billias. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and was employed as an Aeronautical Engineer at Lockheed Aircraft Co. for 35 years. A veteran of World War II, he retired as a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force Reserves. He was a lifetime member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation and served on the Parish Council for 27 years. He was a loyal member of the Order of AHEPA. He is survived by his daughter, Maria Billias of Atlanta; sisters, Fran Lempesis and Sylvia Pappas; in-laws, Johnny and Dia Misoyianis, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a caring, honest and giving soul. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. The absence of his presence on this earth will be felt by many. He will be missed by all. His family will receive friends at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur (404-292-1551) on Sunday, August 28th between 6-8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 29th at 11:00 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of The Annunciation on Clairmont Rd.
