Michael William Douglass

September 14, 1945 — July 12, 2005

Mr. Michael William Douglass, 59, of Stone Mountain died Tuesday, July 12, 2005.  He attended the University of Utah prior to joining the U.S. Army Signal Corp.  He retired from the Georgia Army National Guard.  Mr. Douglass worked as a computer network administrator for the State of Georgia Judicial System, Court of Appeals for ten years and was a member of the Novell User?s Group.  Prior to working for the state, he worked at Emory School of Law and the Yerkes Primate Center of Emory University.  

Mr. Douglass is survived by his wife of thirty years, Patricia Douglass; brother, Bruce Douglass, his wife Darce and their daughter, Kristen of Sacramento, CA; sister, Roberta Tanner, her husband, Dr. Bruce Tanner and their children, Megan Jennifer, Katie, Jason, Bethany and Christina, also of Sacramento, CA; and sister, Heather Rigby of Salt Lake City, UT, and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 25th at the First Christian Church of Decatur, 601 W. Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA.  Rev. Carolyn Miller will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.  A. S. Turner & Sons.
