Michelle Franclin aka Michelle Bouloute
Michelle Bouloute was born on March 28, 1969, to her father, who recently passed, Joseph Junot Bouloute and mother, who is still living, Marie Renane Bouloute. Just as she resembled her mother, she was a belated birthday gift to her mother---born five days after her mother’s 26th birthday. And, like her father, she was the third child among her siblings (who are all still living): the youngest, Rose A. Bouloute; the second eldest, Berthilde Jean-Mary (“Bebe”); and the eldest, Marie Wesline Bouloute (“Liline”). Moreover, as such, from her siblings, she became an aunt to two nieces, Alexandra, and Beatrice Jean-Mary; and a nephew, Max William Desert.
Michelle was born in Aux Cayes, Haiti. Nevertheless, in 1984, her parents wanted her and her siblings to have a better chance at life and so she migrated with her youngest sibling to the United States and lived in Boston, Massachusetts.
Michelle very much enjoyed the Westies because it taught her the Americanized culture where she became well immersed. In high school, Michelle enjoyed swimming, going to the gym, volleyball, and computer programming. Michelle was extremely ambitious; she always wanted to be the best student. In grade school, her pet peeve was people talking too much in class because she did not want to be distracted from learning.
On June 27, 1990, Michelle gave birth to her first child, a daughter --- Sheina Bouloute. Shortly after, she traveled across the country to pursue her education and moved to Arizona with her small child. On May 21, 1996, Michelle gave birth to her second child, a son --- Brian Somun. Michelle wanted to put her children first so she put her dreams of being in the medical field on hold so that she could care for her small children. Michelle’s priority was ensuring that her children had whatever they needed and wanted so she worked hard insofar that she overlooked her on health.
When her children became old enough, she went back to pursue her education in the medical field. She was extremely dedicated to completing her education. But, again, she overlooked her own health. As a result, in 2012, Michelle went into cardiac arrest and pronounced medically dead. Nevertheless, with Michelle’s praying family, she was resurrected; however, it was then that Michelle discovered that she had lupus and her body was shutting down, so the doctors had no hope and suggested she said her last goodbyes.
But God had a different plan for Michelle. God gave her a second chance at life where she lived for an additional ten years. During that time, Michelle moved to Atlanta, GA to be with her family where they would assist her in restoring her health. Michelle fought to live by finally placing her health first and truly taking care of herself. God gave Michelle a second chance at gaining
a closer relationship with her children---so much so at a best friendship with her daughter, who had given Michelle her only known grandchild (who was named after her father) on May 16, 2016, Shaine Joseph Bouloute.
Despite her health issues and struggles, Michelle even had another chance at love where she met a wonderful man in Atlanta, GA while attending church; his name is Windsor Franclin. Michelle and Windsor were married shortly after Michelle became a grandmother in 2016. As a man should, Windsor treated Michelle like a queen—loving and caring for her unconditionally. I remember her always admiring each time he gave her flowers. He even treated her children as his own. Windsor stood by Michelle day after day, for better and then worse, until her dying die.
Life had seemed to turn around for the better for Michelle where she lived fulfilled. Unfortunately, immediately after her father’s death in October 2021, which was just a couple of months ago, Michelle’s health started to rapidly decline. Michelle fought hard, but her body had finally given up on March 9, 2022.
Michelle Bouloute Franclin did have a life where she had some obstacles surrounding her health; however, the love and life that she had with her family overpowered the adversities.
Grandmother. Mother. Aunt. Daughter. All the roles she fulfilled. Loved by all and will be dearly missed by all.
Farewell, Michelle Bouloute Franclin.
