Mike E. DeLong, age 53, of Decatur, GA died Saturday, October 13, 2007, after illness. He was born in Salzburg, Austria, March 29, 1954. Mike was owner of DeLong Repairs and Remodeling, Inc. He was licensed in HVAC, highly skilled in multiple trades, and was prized by his customers. He loved and was loved by family, friends, and pets. Mike was strong and brave, yet gentle, kind and generous. He was known for his integrity and honesty. He was patriotic, loyal, and he cherished freedom. He had a wide variety of interests and was blessed with high intelligence and an engaging personality. Mike enjoyed comedy, growing tomatoes, and studying alternative medicine. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles DeLong and his sister, Evelyn Siler. Surviving him are his companion, Nancy Anthony of Decatur; mother, Monica Weaver (Albert) of Ocala, FL; sister, Susan Albert (Dennis) of Ocala, FL; brother, Raymond DeLong (Frank) of Ludlow Falls, OH; sister, Barbara Erdy (John) of Franklin, OH; sister, Diana Feller (Tracy) of Dayton, OH; sister, Chris Sewell (David) of New Carlise, OH; sister Yvonne Cagle (Bob) of New Lebanon, OH; brother-in-law, John Siler of OH; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 27, 2007 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Chuck Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PAWS, Atlanta, 5287 Covington Hwy., Decatur, GA 30035-2202 or PAWS Atlanta.org. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A reception is scheduled to follow the service at A. S. Turner & Sons.
