Mildred King "Sissy" Campbell, 88, of Decatur, died March 6, 2013. A native Atlantan and long time Decatur resident, Mrs. Campbell was a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother. She was a proud and faithful member of Columbia Drive Baptist Church, where she served as church hostess, catering many church events and weddings. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Alfred Judson "Scooter" Campbell. Mrs. Campbell is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny and Bruce Cantrell of Conyers, Cathy and John Comer of Lilburn; son and daughter-in-law, Al and Charlotte Campbell of Braselton; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brother, Charles J. "Jack" King, Sr. of Douglasville. The funeral service for Mildred Campbell will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2013, at the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons, with Chaplain Joyce Young officiating. A private committal will take place Monday at Westview Cemetery. For those desiring, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends 4-7 Saturday evening at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
