Mrs. Mildred Gunter Quartarone of Tucker died Tuesday, April 10, 2007. She was born in Gainesville, GA and grew up in Cleveland, GA. During World War II she was a civilian employee of the U. S. Army in Washington D. C. and Atlanta. She was a fulltime mother and a Macy's retiree. She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore (Sal) Quartarone. Mrs. Quartarone is survived by her sons, Robert Quartarone of Rex, Thomas Quartarone of Tucker, William Quartarone of Cleveland, Daniel Quartarone of Stone Mountain; brother, Robert Gunter of Sandy Springs; sisters, Georgia Houseknecht of Lilburn, Margaret Patterson of Lilburn, and Barbara Craig of Pensacola, FL; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 1 p.m. Friday, April 13th, Rev. Susannah Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
