Mrs. Mildred Hansell Kelly, wife of the late Manon Owen Kelly, of Atlanta, passed away July 26, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Caroline Kelly Knott, of Durham, North Carolina, by her sister, Dorothy Hansell Carlton, of Atlanta, by her brother, William Albert Hansell, of Atlanta, by six grandchildren, and by fifteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kelly was ninety-two years of age. She lived the majority of her life in Atlanta, GA but had moved to Durham, NC this past spring. Mrs. Kelly was born February 15, 1913 in Atlanta. She graduated from Girls High in 1931. She was married in 1936 at Ormwood Presbyterian Church. She was an active member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church for forty-seven years where she served with Women of the Church in various roles, including president. She served God all her life and was a beautiful crown to her family. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 30 at Peachtree Presbyterian Church Wilson Chapel with Rev. Charles Andrew Knott, her grandson, and Rev. Steve Huntley officiating. Interment will be held at 3 pm at Crossroads Cemetery in Carnesville, GA where she will rest beside her husband of forty-nine years. Rev. John Duke will officiate at the interment service. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 29 between 6:30 and 8:30 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons funeral home.
