JONES, Mildred Tuck
Mildred Jones, 87, of Decatur died on August 31, 2015, after a brief illness. Tuck, as everyone called her, was a native of Tennessee and a graduate of Wesleyan College. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, performing in plays, leading women's groups, and above all her family. She is survived by her husband, Bishop L. Bevel Jones, III; sons David and Mark; daughter Sharon Jones Brewer; six grandchildren and one great-grandson. A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 20 at 2:30 p.m. at Decatur First United Methodist Church, 300 East Ponce de Leon Ave. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Decatur First Barnabas Fund which Tuck and Bev established to help the needy and support church ministries. A. S.
