Mildred Louise Thomas

Mildred Lindsay Thomas, 88, of Decatur, died February 2, 2012. A native Atlantan, Mrs. Thomas was a 50 year member of Decatur First United Methodist Church. As a 43 year employee of Georgia Power, she was a member of Atlanta Women's Chamber of Commerce and a former president of Atlanta Credit Women's Club. Mrs. Thomas was a long time member of the H. L. Thomas chapter of the Women of Georgia Power. At one point in her career, Mrs. Thomas was chosen by Richard Rich to serve on Rich's Department Store Business Advisory Board. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Brady; granddaughter, Dawn Brady; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mildred Thomas will be held 12:30 PM, Saturday, February 4, in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Rev Diana Roberts and her husband, Jim, will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 AM Saturday prior to the service at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Westview in Atlanta.
