Mildred Harris Hay, 96, of Covington, GA passed away on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at her residence. A native of Atlanta she worked at the Bell Bomber Plant in Marietta during World War II. A fabulous cook, she enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for her family and keep her mind sharp by working crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her son, Butch Hay and her husband, Jamie Edward Hay, Sr. and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Clint Toney, daughter-in-law, Caroline; brother, William Harris; granddaughters, Jamie Hay and Jenni Norris and her husband, Dwayne; grandson, Nick Toney and his wife, Jenny; also surviving are 5 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held on Monday July 5th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Pastor Eric Premph officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker. The family will receive friends one hour prior to her services at A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA.
