Mildred Truitt Dollins

Mildred Truitt Dollins, 87, of Decatur, died October 16, 2011. A native of Crittenden County, Kentucky, Mrs. Dollins was a homemaker and a 54 year member at North Decatur United Methodist Church. She and her husband loved ballroom dancing and enjoyed participating in its pleasures with friends for many, many years. Mrs. Dollins and her husband loved America and over time they visited each of the 50 states including many pilgrimages to her birthplace in Kentucky. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jim Dollins; step-daughter, Gayle Alvis and her husband, Ron, of Frankfort KY; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mrs. Dollins will be held 3 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2011, in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev Angelo Mante officiating. For those desiring, a memorial donation may be made to North Decatur UMC, 1523 Church St, Decatur GA 30030. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at A. S. Turner & Turner & Sons.
