Milton Clay "Buddy" Holcombe, 81, Loganville, died Tuesday, January 11, 2011. A native of Scottdale, Mr. Holcombe served his country during WWII in the U. S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Sexton Holcombe and is survived by his daughter, Wanda H. Singleton; sons, James Holcombe, Gary Holcombe and Bob Holcombe; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Doug Holcombe; many, many nieces and nephews. Buddy possessed a deep and endless love for his family and will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He spoke often of the joy of being face to face with his Heavenly Father and the great reunion with all his beloved family in Heaven. The funeral service for Mr. Holcombe will be 2 pm, Saturday, January 15, 2011, in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons, with Rev. Tom Egbert officiating. Interment, Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 Friday evening at A. S. Turner and Sons.
