Milton Conway Hayes passed away September 14th, 2018. Conway proudly served his country in the Army 8th Infantry during the Korean War and managed the communication lines for the Korean peace talks. He built the test sets allowing President John F. Kennedy in his office in the White House to open the hanger door at Lockheed in Marietta, unveiling the new C-130 flying boxcar. He was a long standing member of the Atlanta Track Club competing in various races, including the Peachtree Road Race, placing in the top of his age group until age 80. He retired from AT&T with 34 years of service. Conway is survived by his wife of 61 years, two sons, one daughter, two grandsons, and two granddaughters. Visitation will be held at A.S. Turner & Sons in Decatur, Georgia at 11:30am on Wednesday, September 19th, followed by graveside service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker at 1pm.
